Dakare was built in Taiwan in the year of the dragon. The dragon in Chinese represents good fortune. We are fortunate to be sharing this life style together and so we have adopted the Chinese Dragon as our new logo. May we have, and all those who we know and will meet, fair winds, calm seas and good fortune! This particular dragon is called the Chinese Dancing Dragon.
Down through the ages, the question as to whether or not dragons exist is inconclusive. But mythological tales insist they do. In such tales, the dragon is portrayed as a remarkable creature capable of flying, swimming and strutting on land.
In Eastern cultures, the dragon is almost never described as carnivorous or as a man eater. Unlike their counterparts in the occidental tales, which are depicted as awesome and sputtering flames , the oriental dragons are regarded as auspicious creatures.
(We have subsequently been told that this particular dragon is the Shao Lin Wu Shu Dragon.)
