Hot Water Heater: Replaced in 2004 with an upgraded Torrid Model  32633 MV-10 Vertical Water Heater 120V 10 Gallon 16" 17-3/4"

The Torrid electric water heater is the ultimate in marine water heating systems. It provides super fast recovery from either dockside or AC generator power supply. The exclusive heat exchanger design provides abundant hot water from the engine cooling system while underway.

Epoxy powder coated steel jacket
1500W
120V electric heating element will operate in air
15 gallon per hour recovery (40° F. rise)
ASME temperature/pressure relief valve Ignition protected
Oversize magnesium anode rod for maximum corrosion protection
High density fiberglass insulation
Tin plated high efficiency copper heat exchanger converts heat from engine cooling water
Adjustable electric thermostat - 120° to 180°

Torrid water heaters come with tin-plated copper tube heat exchangers, which have silicon bronze heads. Each tank also comes with a replaceable anode, which helps prevent galvanic corrosion when used with water makers. Replaceable incalloy sheathed heating elements prevents burn out failure from lack of water. All Torrid water heaters come with a 5-year warranty.

Tank Tender

Dakare has the 10 Tank Tender monitoring system which allows us to use the same monitoring device for both our fresh water system and our diesel fuel system.  Each tank has its own level monitor so their is no chance of cross contamination.
