Large Batteries:
Dakare carries six 8D AGM batteries in two house banks for a total of 1260 AHrs and Three 4D AGMs for the engine start, Genset, bow thruster and windlass.

Battery Maintenance:
For AGM Batteries-
 EQUALIZE BATTERIES USING CONSTANT CHARGE BATTERY CHARGER (e.g.. Prosine 3000) for ~ 1/2 hour every six months or more if needed (Even if you do not bring batteries down below 12.2. volts)
 top surfaces clean and dry
 'at rest' battery voltage is 12.1 to 12.8 Volts
 engine cranks properly for 5 seconds with each battery alone -- battery voltage is above 9.5 Volts and steady, while cranking
 cables are in good condition
 connections clean and sealed from moisture
