Although not a very exciting item, that is, talking about Lazarettes, it is worth mentioning that Dakare had all Lazarettes upgraded to include locking hatches. In addition, we found that the Attwood gas lift ball studs were not stainless steel. We upgraded those to SS after the boat was delivered. We increased the rating of the gas lifts from 20 lbs to 40 lbs for the aft lazarette. We felt that the original 20 lbs was inadequate for the stern steps. All other lazarette hatches operated satifactorilly at 20 lbs.

The laxarettes also have interior lighting which we have found invaluable when looking for things at night.
